Navigation data

Used exclusively for security purposes and to monitor the performance, the systems at the basis of the duemme.net site may acquire information which might potentially be attributed to the personal data of the user.

For example the following could be recorded: IP address of the computer, time of accessing the site, the pages visited on the site, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation, the resources requested and other parameters related to the operative system and the IT information of the site navigator.

These data are registered in specific logs and can be communicated exclusively to the Judicial Authorities in the case of significant IT security occurrences.

In the contrary case (absence of security problems) they are eliminated by the systems as speedily as IT organisation allows and in any case within one working week.

Cookie

Definitions
Cookies are small text files that are sent to the user's terminal equipment (usually to the user's browser) by visited websites; they are stored in the user's terminal equipment to be then re-transmitted to the websites on the user's subsequent visits to those websites. When navigating a website, a user may happen to receive cookies from other websites or web servers, (so-called "third party" cookies) which may contain items (such as images, maps, sound files, specific links to individual web pages on different domains) that are present on the site being visited.

Cookies are present as a rule in substantial numbers in each user's browser and at times they may even remain stored for a long period. They are used for several different purposes: IT authentication, monitoring of browsing sessions, memorising of specific information on user configurations in accessing a server, and so on.

To ensure conformity with the Privacy legislation, the Garante Privacy (Privacy Authority) has identified two classes of cookies:

a. Technical Cookies

Technical cookies are those used exclusively to "carry out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information company service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide said service” (see section 122, comma (1) of the code).

They are not used for additional purposes and are usually installed by the data controller or the website manager. They can be grouped into browsing or session cookies, which allow users to navigate normally and use a website (for example, enabling a user to purchase online or to authenticate themselves in order to access reserved areas); cookie analytics, which can be equated to technical cookies since they are used directly by the website manager to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pattern of visits to the website; functional cookies which allow the user to navigate as a function of a certain selected series of criteria (e.g. language or products selected for purchase) so as to improve the quality of the service rendered.

b. Profiling Cookie

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles. They are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during navigation online. In the light of the highly invasive nature of these cookies regarding users' private sphere, Italian and European legislation requires users to be informed appropriately on their use so as to give their valid consent. Browser settings regarding cookies

You can give or deny consent to the installation of cookies also using the functionality of your computer. However, not all the functions of this site could remain operative if one or more cookies are disenabled (some cookies are indispensible for the basic functions of the site). The settings related to such a choice can be verified and modified in the preferences window of the browser.
